Senior Network Operations Engineer

Overview: You will support and maintain Swatch Group’s global network infrastructure. As a senior expert, you handle complex operational challenges, act as a key escalation point, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain core network infrastructure (routers, switches, internal firewalls, WLANs)
* Monitor performance, availability, and security of network systems
* Act as primary escalation point for complex network incidents (1st/2nd level support)
* Collaborate with Network Engineering and Architecture teams to implement best practices and maintain accurate documentation and diagrams
* Work closely with local and international IT teams to ensure alignment and service continuity
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across network operations and automation
* Serve as Engineer on Duty according to the planned schedule
Qualifications
* Deep expertise in enterprise networking technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, Riverbed)
* Strong experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, and network segmentation; proficiency in WAN, LAN, WLAN environments
* Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk)
* Familiarity with F5 BIG‑IP or similar load balancing/application delivery technologies
* Service‑oriented with customer focus
* Solid grasp of IPv4/IPv6, QoS, VLANs, and multicast technologies
Professional Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science
* 5 years of relevant operational experience
* Certifications: Cisco CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Fortinet, CompTIA Network+
Languages
* Fluent in French, German, or English
* Additional languages welcome
