The Julius Baer Division Markets is looking for a talented and experienced System Architect to join our team. As a member of the Markets IT Architecture Center of Excellence (CoE), you will act as the System Architect for multiple one of our Markets Agile Tribes Sets (Trading, Sales, Execution or Mid-Office) to shape the future functional infrastructure in the Markets division. You will work closely with the Product Owners, Scrum masters and the Agile Squads to drive the delivery of the roadmap for the journey ahead of us, to enable further digital services and offerings to our clients.
This role enables you to closely collaborate with Business owners, Product managers and IT stakeholders to unlock the Markets potential and elaborate and present innovative and efficient solutions up to C-Level. This opportunity calls for a foundation of strong business acumen and knowledge of a global Markets environment, experience with Markets Product issuing supported by profound functional and technical architecture expertise.
YOUR CHALLENGE
1. Collaborate closely with Markets leadership and key stakeholders to support definition of Markets target and transition architecture, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture vision and objectives
2. Support the definition and execution of the Markets Architecture governance and ensure your ATS is compliant with architectural standards, policies and guidelines
3. Partnering with your business peers and develop together a vision, key business capabilities and processes in the context of the Agile tribe set
4. Ownership of the solution blueprint and define transition roadmaps with concrete input for Markets OVS to achieve the target application landscape
5. Understanding the trends and drivers in the financial industry, markets & technology and propose innovative and sound solutions with your business partners
6. Empowering Agile squads to deliver fit for purpose solutions and support them with any architecture relevant topics
7. Facilitate the digital transformation and roll out of global solutions finding the right balance between scalability, operability, flexibility and geographical adoption
YOUR PROFILE
8. Passionate about technology with a “can do” attitude and entrepreneurial spirit in getting things done in a fast-paced environment of continuous change
9. Proven multi-year experience as a System Architect within financial industry or consulting with banking focus
10. Good understanding of Markets environment, preferably with past responsibility for architecture and design in previous projects
11. Experience with various integration technologies (e.g., streaming, messaging, web services)
12. At least 7 years of experience as web software developer (e.g., Java, .Net, Java Script, React, Angular, relational databases, No SQL databases)
13. Knowledge and curiosity in current technologies, technology trends, and financial market developments
14. Strong personal drive with good organizational skills, analytical, quantitative and problem-solving mind-set
15. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools
16. Certification in business architecture (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK) is highly desirable
17. Experience to work in an Agile environment is a plus
18. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas to technical and business stakeholders on the company, domain, and team level
19. Bachelor’s degree in information technology (Master's degree preferred)
20. Business fluent in written and spoken English. Spoken German is beneficial
