The position reports directly to the Executive Director (ED), Global Value, Access & Pricing (GVAP), Solid Tumors (ST) Lead, and is responsible for developing GVAP strategies across the Solid Tumor portfolio of pipeline assets. This senior role is crucial in setting the foundation for BeiGene’s future success in the Solid Tumor area by developing a strategic vision informed by market access expertise and understanding of global payer needs.
The Senior Director, GVAP, Solid Tumors Pipeline will provide strategic insights to ensure pipeline assets meet market access needs and maximize commercial potential. The role involves identifying evidentiary gaps in clinical development plans that could affect reimbursement and pricing, working cross-functionally to develop recommendations to address these gaps, and estimating the impact of clinical scenarios on access and pricing. The position also supports portfolio prioritization and Business Development assessments.
Essential Functions Of The Job Pipeline Market Access Strategy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of global pricing and market access strategies for ST pipeline products, aligning with clinical and commercial goals.
Collaborate across functions to integrate access requirements into development processes, influencing trial design and evidence generation.
Gather and analyze feedback from all regions to inform clinical development and evidence strategies.
Represent the GVAP ST perspective to company governance or oversight bodies.
Value Proposition & Evidence Generation: Develop early value propositions supporting future pricing and reimbursement decisions.
Work with Clinical, Medical Affairs, and HEOR teams to shape trial design and evidence strategies.
Identify evidence gaps and work with HEOR to develop models and studies addressing payer concerns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory teams to incorporate payer needs into development strategies.
Provide input into clinical decisions and Business Development to meet payer requirements.
Collaborate with regional teams and Pricing to assess clinical and external opportunities.
Align early asset profiles and evidence requirements with regional access teams.
Pre-Launch Preparation: Drive pre-launch planning, including value toolkits and early engagement strategies.
Support market access readiness through communication and training for regional teams.
Assist regional activities related to early pipeline licensing.
Market Insights & Competitive Landscape Analysis: Monitor the solid tumor landscape, including competitors, payer requirements, and regulations.
Analyze payer insights, pricing trends, and market conditions to refine strategies.
Use insights to improve value propositions and product positioning.
Lead early pipeline consultations with payers globally.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
Post-graduate degree in a science-based field or MBA preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities No direct supervision; extensive cross-functional and regional collaboration.
