Overview
We are looking for a R&D Engineer to join the Technology & Innovation team in Oberwinterthur. You will be part of our R&D team, where you will have the opportunity to experience the development of new products from the ideation phase to market‑ready products for our Separation Technology business unit. Typical products include structured and random packings, trays, separators, and static mixers, essential for the chemical industry and emerging sustainable technologies such as carbon capture, bio‑refineries, and emission control.
Responsibilities & Tasks
* Plan, manage, and execute R&D projects from concept to completion.
* Conduct pilot plant and laboratory test campaigns, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
* Design, operate, and maintain equipment; select measurement techniques and evaluate results.
* Improve data acquisition and analysis; contribute to design guidelines and knowledge transfer.
* Support internal training, publications, and cooperation with external partners.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Master’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong knowledge of mass transfer and separation technology, with experience in data‑driven research projects.
* Prior experience in the visualization and evaluation of experimental data.
* Basic mechanical skills and hands‑on experience with pilot plants are advantageous.
* Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and willingness to bring innovative ideas or challenge existing procedures.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with process simulation tools, CAD software, LabView, and Python is a plus.
