Job Description
1. You are responsible for the management of the biological part of our ecotoxicology department including organisational and people responsibility for a team of about 25 coworkers (scientists and lab technicians)
2. You are responsible for study direction for chronic and acute aquatic ecotoxicology studies on fish, amphibians, daphnia, algae and other aquatic organisms according to OECD guideline
3. You will evaluate study results and report the study data
4. You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders
5. You will cooperate with our internal sales team for preparation of quotations including consulting of clients
6. You will participate in scientific workshops and congresses
Qualifications
7. Have successfully completed a scientific degree in biology or a related discipline
8. You have at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in aquatic ecotoxicology working under GLP, including experience with fish endocrine disruptor testing
9. You have strong organizational skills, you are flexible in work assignment and work schedule
10. You have sound experience in people leadership
11. You are willing and able to coach, train and develop people
12. You are fluent in spoken and written English and German.
13. Working experience in a CRO of advantage
