About the customer:
For our renowned client in the Insurance industry, we are looking for an experienced Senior Application Engineer (Python/PySpark) for a major transformation project.
As a Senior Application Engineer, you will develop backend services for a modern lakehouse architecture on Azure Datalake using Python. You'll build business functionality to support accounting and reporting processes, integrating data from various systems. Your work will focus on designing, automating, and maintaining scalable, efficient solutions using modern technologies.

Requirements:
Your Profile:
* 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable software through the full software development lifecycle using modern IDEs, code management and automation tools.
* Hands-on experience with test driven development
* Strong understanding of software engineering techniques with modern programming languages and analytical frameworks.
* Proficient in Python, PySpark, SQL
* Expertise working with relational databases like Oracle/Postgres
* Problem-solving skills and commitment to quality and timely delivery
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including clear articulation of technical topics to a non-technical audience
* Hands-on coding in Python /PySpark
