This role is a key contributor to the global IS Services, focused on redefining and executing ABB's integration strategy by deploying the full spectrum of new Integration Services organization-wide, impacting how business areas and ABB strategic programs consume these services to achieve goals.
Responsibilities
* Rationalize integration requirements to create simple, efficient, scalable, and supportable future‑proofed integration designs.
* Facilitate integration service triage related conversations.
* Collect and analyze business and technical requirements.
* Translate business requirements into functional requirements and create integration inventory, API catalogue, and flows to define scope.
* Propose integration patterns that best meet integration requirements.
* Propose criteria‑based integration solutions and rank them according to business needs, highlighting risks, pros, and cons for each solution.
* Estimate complexity of integrations.
* Define and design blueprints for integration assets (e.g., reference architectures) and accelerators.
* Support automation and DevOps-related activities as part of continuously improving the service.
* Apply knowledge of integration technologies, patterns, and strategies.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or master’s degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar.
* 8+ years of experience in Integration Architecture discipline.
* Experience in system engineering and service mesh, emerging architecture patterns such as microservices, and linking integration elements into wider architecture.
* Demonstrated experience with leading integration technologies/vendors (Azure Integration Services, BizTalk, MuleSoft, SAP Integration Suite/BTP).
* Experience with APIs, event‑driven, streaming, ETL, and batch patterns.
* Experience with formal program management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile).
* Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships in a corporate environment.
* Fluent spoken and written English.
