Job Summary
Everest is seeking a motivated Cat Modeling Analyst to join our Zurich-based Underwriting (UW) and CAT Modeling team. This role is integral to our European operations, involving close collaboration with cat modelers, property underwriters, and actuaries located in Zurich, London, and the United States. The successful candidate will provide critical support through data analysis, reinsurance treaty pricing, model validation, and the enhancement of our underwriting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the pricing and risk assessment of reinsurance catastrophe treaties.
* Conduct detailed analysis of vendor models, broker models, and internally developed proprietary models and tools.
* Focus primarily on natural catastrophe analysis, with the potential to extend responsibilities to other lines of business.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A degree in a quantitative discipline such as natural science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
* A strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
* A collaborative, team‑oriented approach combined with a strong work ethic.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* A great eye for detail and a commitment to thoroughness.
* Basic coding skills in SQL, R, or Python.
* Knowledge of other European languages is considered an asset.
