PpDePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Director, DPS Global Planning – Spine Sports, located in Le Locle, Neuchatel, Switzerland. /p h3Job Overview /h3 pThe Director, DPS Global Planning – Spine Sports will lead the Global Planning function for the Spine, Sports, and Cranio‑Maxillofacial (CMF) Platforms within DePuy Synthes, representing approximately $2.2B in annual sales. This role is accountable for end‑to‑end supply planning execution, ensuring a strong Customer‑First focus while balancing service, cost, and inventory cash‑flow objectives. /p pReporting to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain Planning, this leader partners closely with the Spine/Sports/CMF Supply Chain Leader and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver the E2E Platform strategy, enable New Product Introductions, and ensure day‑to‑day supply chain performance. A key focus of the role is building a leading‑edge planning capability, evolving from functional planning to value‑stream‑based, analytics‑enabled, and increasingly autonomous planning models, while maturing core planning and ERP systems. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of global demand, supply, and inventory planning processes for Spine, Sports, and CMF platforms. /li liOwn end‑to‑end supply planning execution to ensure product availability at the right place, in the right quantity, and at the right time to meet customer and commercial commitments. /li liValidate net requirements from markets, identify short‑ and mid‑term constraints, and ensure accurate set‑level demand and supply plans aligned to platform needs. /li liOwn and lead the Global IBP / SO P process for Spine, Sports, and CMF, ensuring strong governance, data‑driven decision making, and executive‑level readiness. /li liPartner closely with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, Regional Supply Chain, and strategic manufacturing partners to align forecasts, capacity plans, and execution commitments. /li liLead and develop a global planning organization of approximately 18 associates, ensuring the right capabilities, engagement, productivity, and succession to meet current and future business needs. /li liEstablish, monitor, and act on key planning performance metrics, including service, inventory, forecast accuracy, manufacturing plan attainment, excess and obsolete inventory, NPI launch performance, and team productivity. /li liDrive the development and deployment of advanced analytics capabilities to optimize end‑to‑end service, inventory, and cost performance across the platforms. /li liRepresent Global Planning on the Spine/Sports/CMF end‑to‑end Supply Chain Leadership Team, providing transparent insights, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul libEducation /b: Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline. /li liMaster’s degree or MBA preferred. /li libExperience and Skills /b: /li liTypically 10-12 years of progressive experience in supply chain, planning, or operations within a global, matrixed organization. /li liProven leadership experience managing global teams and influencing senior stakeholders. /li liStrong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and SO P / IBP processes. /li liDemonstrated ability to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment. /li liExcellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. /li libPreferred /b: /li liExperience within medical devices, orthopedics, or other highly regulated industries. /li liFamiliarity with advanced planning systems and digital supply chain tools. /li liExperience leading global transformation or continuous improvement initiatives. /li liStrong financial acumen and experience partnering closely with Finance. /li liClear, confident communication skills with the ability to present to executive audiences. /li libOther /b: /li liLanguage: Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus. /li liTravel: Up to 20–30% international travel, as business needs require. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liAnalytical Reasoning /li liCreating Purpose /li liDemand Forecasting /li liDemand Planning /li liDeveloping Others /li liDistribution Resource Planning (DRP) /li liFinancial Competence /li liInclusive Leadership /li liInventory Optimization /li liLeadership /li liManufacturing Flow Management /li liMaterials Handling /li liOperations Management /li liOrganizing /li liProcurement Policies /li liProgram Management /li liStrategic Supply Chain Management /li liSuccession Planning /li liSupply Planning /li /ul h3Preferred Skills /h3 ul liAnalytical Reasoning /li liCreating Purpose /li liDemand Forecasting /li liDemand Planning /li liDeveloping Others /li liDistribution Resource Planning (DRP) /li liFinancial Competence /li liInclusive Leadership /li liInventory Optimization /li liLeadership /li liManufacturing Flow Management /li liMaterials Handling /li liOperations Management /li liOrganizing /li liProcurement Policies /li liProgram Management /li liStrategic Supply Chain Management /li liSuccession Planning /li liSupply Planning /li /ul pJohnson Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
