PpAs a bClinical Pathologist /b the majority of your duties involve, but are not limited to, providing clients with diagnostic evaluation in the area of clinical pathology and providing necessary follow-up consultation. A high level of importance is placed on quality, timeliness, customer service, effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. /p h3In This Role /h3 ul liYou are responsible for gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens and preparation of pathology reports in a timely manner. /li liYou will meet caseload and turnaround expectations. /li liYou are responsible for providing telephone consultations to clients. /li liYou consult with and assist other pathologists as needed to promote collegiality. /li liYou will partner with, advise and assist laboratory personnel in proper specimen processing techniques and function as the pathologist on duty. /li liYou promote the growth of IDEXX by actively participating in pathologist meetings and developing and maintaining professional relationships/contact with clients. /li liYou participate in the quality control programs. /li liYou maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education. /li liTime may be provided off of routine diagnostic responsibilities to allow the pathologist to engage in other professional activities as approved by management. Such activities should improve the function or professional reputation of IDEXX. /li /ul h3What You Will Need To Succeed /h3 ul liYou are fluent in German and English /li liYou are familiar with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine. /li liYou are able to type and use dictation equipment. /li liYou have excellent verbal and communication skills. /li liYou have a service-oriented attitude. /li liYou are able to organize and prioritize work. /liliComputer skills are required. /li liExperience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred. /li /ul h3Certifications /h3 ul liBoard certification in clinical pathology - American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) preferred. /li liApplications from pathologists with local boards (e.g. FTA für Klinische Laboratoriumsdiagnostik) and board eligible pathologists are also encouraged.
