LocationTN Switzerland · Canton of Lucerne, SwitzerlandReportingYou’ll report to Stefan SCHNIDER – Site Train Electrical Métier Manager in Zürich - CH.Job OverviewAs part of the 300-strong Zurich site, you’ll take care of electrical architecture at train level, wiring list and apparatus specification in new developments and legacy products. Work closely with teams across the business (Train System/Control/Design, Industrialization, Supplier).ResponsibilitiesDefine high and low voltage cable and over‑current protective device sizing/distribution requiring general knowledge of both power and communication network signals.Create and maintain electrical drawings and bills of material, component selection, test procedures, requirements management, manufacturing and procurement support.Select detail design distribution equipment such as various connectors and associated parts while relying on a general system‑level understanding of the entire vehicle electrical system.Work with cross‑functional groups and various disciplines to ensure products are properly implemented into the vehicle.Develop management skills to ensure all customer and internal expectations are met while providing a reliable and safe vehicle.Collaborate on Design Reviews and First Article inspections for support of procurement and manufacturing.Support power system studies such as protective device coordination, fault current analyses, load flow analyses, and incident energy calculations.QualificationsSolid technical expertise in relevant engineering domains.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Structured and organized with a hands‑on approach.Fluent in English and the national language on the site.Resilience and ability to work in an international, multi‑site, and matrix organization structure.Force of proposal to improve processes and deliverables.BenefitsCompetitive remuneration package and benefits including company pension plans and discounted tickets for public transport.Flexible working hours and hybrid working models.Growth opportunities across functions and countries.Excellent training opportunities through Alstom University and innovation culture through idea management programs.Mentor and buddy programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, CSR activities, and engaging employee events.EEO StatementAs a global business, we’re an equal‑opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in.
