Biomarker Clinical Operations Lead - Basel

Role Overview
This is a high-impact role where you'll play a key role in driving biomarker operational strategy, lead biomarker vendor selection, the execution of biomarker activities across global clinical studies.
You\'ll be at the forefront of developing & executing Biomarker management plans, overseeing vendor relationships & managing critical study-level biomarker operations.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport. Please also note this role requires 3-4 days on-site per week, relocation may be required if not within a commutable distance.
Responsibilities:
* Bring scientific & operational expertise to clinical teams, ensuring biomarker strategies are both feasible & impactful.
* Lead the creation & execution of biomarker management plans across drug & diagnostic studies.
* Drive end-to-end biomarker operations, from vendor oversight to ensuring top-tier data quality.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams & external partners to streamline sample collection, processing & logistics.
* Select and manage biomarker vendors, ensuring consistent quality, performance & budget adherence.
* Partner with Data Management to align on data formats, timelines & delivery for biomarker datasets.
* Act as the biomarker operations lead across cross-functional teams, serving as the central point of contact.
* Provide expert input on technical aspects of biomarker testing, devices & sample handling.
* Oversee timelines, budgets & risk management to ensure smooth execution of biomarker analyses.
* Deliver engaging trainings & presentations to both internal teams & external investigators.
* Address regulatory questions related to biomarker or IVD activities, ensuring readiness & compliance.
Key Skills and Requirements:
* Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Life Sciences, PhD is desirable
* 3+ years industry experience in biomarker operations is essential
* Experience handling biomarker/sample logistics is key
* Strong background supporting clinical studies/trials
* Proficient in vendor and project management.
* Ability to work in a global, matrix environment.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
