A critical role within the Pharmaceutical Technical Operations team, focusing on the industrialization and robust technical product management of commercial products.
This position is responsible for leading a network of senior-level process and technology experts, driving systematic process improvements, providing troubleshooting support, and enabling technology deployment through pilot plants.
* The successful candidate will oversee an execution-driven team focused on improving process efficiency and robustness across the pharmaceutical portfolio, managing second-source transfers, and scaling new technologies in collaboration with internal and external manufacturing and technical development teams.
* They will provide strategic oversight for portfolio-wide initiatives, including direct material changes and regulatory Health Authority requirements. This involves leading portfolio master plans, mitigating risks, driving improvements, and ensuring alignment to execute global technical initiatives and multi-product activities.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a network of approximately 20 senior-level process and technology experts.
2. Develop and implement process validation studies using Quality by Design principles.
3. Collaborate with local MSAT groups to support Make-Assess-Release activities and troubleshoot issues in internal and external manufacturing networks.
4. Sets the vision and strategy for process requirements, process improvements, and technology deployments in alignment with internal and external manufacturing networks.
5. Establish a robust process performance ecosystem leveraging advanced data analytics.
About You
* Requires an advanced degree in a scientific discipline with at least 15 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
* Provides significant senior people leadership experience, leveraging advanced leadership skills.
* Possesses deep technical expertise in DS or DP process development, improvement, and technology industrialization for large molecules.
* Represents the organization in key governance and industry forums, integrating external insights into strategic initiatives.
Benefits
This role offers relocation benefits and a competitive salary range of $252,000 to $468,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
