Position Overview
As an Athletic Trainer, you’ll work under the supervision of a physician to provide comprehensive injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation services. You’ll be an essential part of a care team, educating coaches, parents, and athletes on best practices while providing hands-on support in both clinical and on-site athletic settings.

Key Responsibilities
7. Apply preventative care techniques and supportive devices for sports-related injuries
8. Guide injured athletes through conditioning and reconditioning programs
9. Communicate effectively with physicians, coaches, and families
10. Provide event coverage and emergency response as scheduled
11. Educate school staff and athletes on injury prevention
12. Document care plans and progress accurately
13. Maintain flexible work locations and schedules based on athletic and clinical needs
Qualifications
Education:
14. Bachelor’s in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field (Required)
15. Master’s preferred
Licensure/Certification:
16. New York State Certified Athletic Trainer (Required)
17. NATABOC Certification
18. BLS Certification (completed during clinical orientation)
Experience:
19. New grads encouraged to apply
20. Preferred: 1–2 years in a school or outpatient orthopedic/physician practice setting

24. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems (preferred)
