Coordinator will work twelve (12) days of extended time for a stipend of $7,000.00

Position Summary
The Title I Coordinator provides leadership, direction, and oversight for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Title I programs across Mentor Schools. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations, developing and managing Title I grants and related funding sources, and overseeing Title I budgets and resources to maximize student support and achievement. The Coordinator establishes and maintains eligibility, service, and exit criteria for students receiving Title I services while collaborating closely with the Curriculum Director, building administrators, teachers, and support staff to align programming with district goals. The role also partners with the district's Homeless Liaison to identify and support eligible students experiencing housing instability. In addition, the Coordinator leads efforts to strengthen literacy instruction and intervention through evidence‑based practices, including implementation aligned to Ohio's dyslexia legislation, while fostering strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders to improve outcomes for all learners.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of district Title I programs, including schoolwide and targeted assistance models, aligned to district priorities and Ohio Department of Education and Workforce requirements.

Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local Title I regulations through timely completion of required reports, documentation, monitoring activities, audits, and grant assurances.

Serve as the district liaison to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for all Title I communications, trainings, meetings, monitoring visits, and program reviews.

Develop, manage, and monitor Title I grants, budgets, allocations, expenditures, and related fiscal records in collaboration with the district treasurer/accounting department to ensure responsible and allowable use of funds.

Establish, review, and maintain student eligibility, service entry, progress monitoring, and exit criteria for Title I services using multiple data sources and approved assessments.

Analyze student achievement and program data to evaluate the effectiveness of Title I services, prepare required reports, and recommend program improvements.

Provide professional development for Title I staff and other educators related to effective instructional practices, literacy intervention, dyslexia legislation, compliance requirements, and district initiatives.

Collaborate with principals, teachers, intervention specialists, instructional coaches, and district leaders to align Title I instruction, interventions, curriculum, and supports with Ohio's Learning Standards and district goals.

Support implementation of Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), progress monitoring systems, and evidence-based interventions for students receiving Title I services.

Supervise and lead regular meetings for Title I staff to communicate expectations, provide updates, review data, and strengthen program implementation.

Coordinate family engagement programming and activities that strengthen home‑school partnerships, including required parent notifications, parent rights information, informational meetings, family events, and stakeholder feedback surveys.

Plan and facilitate Title I Advisory Council meetings and other stakeholder engagement opportunities.

Collaborate with non-public schools receiving Title I equitable services to ensure consultation, planning, implementation, and compliance with all federal requirements.

Partner with building administrators to ensure Title I programming is implemented with fidelity and in accordance with state and federal guidance.

Manage ordering, distribution, and inventory of Title I instructional materials, supplies, and equipment across all participating buildings.

Perform other duties related to federal programs and student support services as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.

Qualifications
Required

Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field

Valid Ohio teaching license with a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience

Dyslexia Specialist Certification

Demonstrated knowledge of federal Title I law, regulations, and accountability requirements

Experience supporting literacy initiatives aligned to the Science of Reading research

Experience leading, developing, and delivering staff professional development

Experience designing and implementing evidence-based interventions in literacy and mathematics

MTSS and data-driven decision-making experience

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred

Administrative license preferred (or currently enrolled in a program)

Experience working with a diverse student population.
