For our client, a leading company in the pharmaceutical sector, we are seeking a diligent and highly motivated Research Associate to join the non-malignant hematology group. As part of a larger team, you will design and execute in vivo experiments to evaluate the efficacy and safety of novel therapeutic candidates for bleeding disorders such as hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Collaboratively design and execute in vivo studies, and interpret data from in vivo experiments to assess the pharmacodynamics and therapeutic efficacy of novel therapies
* Establish, validate and use disease relevant mouse models of hemostasis and thrombosis, supported by in vitro analysis
* Present experimental data to the group during regular meetings
* Improve test systems, treatment, analysis, and data evaluation. Contribute to work process optimization including data capture, storage, and assay automation
* Work closely with team members, share duties, maintain a clean work environment, and contribute positively to the work atmosphere
Must Haves:
* MSc/BSc in Life Sciences (cellular/molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology), or completion of a research associate apprenticeship (“Lehrabschluss”) with at least 3 years of academic or industry experience working with in vivo models
* Mouse work experience: managing transgenic animals, injections, tissue sampling and processing, disease model characterization, terminal and survival surgeries
* Experience with in vitro analytical technologies such as ELISAs and biochemical assays for data analysis
* Effective communication in English, both written and oral. Strong teamwork skills
* Excellent data management and record-keeping skills
