Our broad array of inspired, innovative andhigh-quality offerings, help advance the health and wellbeing ofpeople around the world.The SystemsTesting Technician contributes to the design characterization,verification and risk assessment of medical device implants andsurgical instrumentation (power tools, digital robotics, etc.) aspart of new product development and life cycle management projects.The person will execute test protocols to verify the safety andefficacy of the medical devices under assessment. This is ahands-on role which touches on various engineering disciplinesrequired for formal testing of complex medical device systems,including mechanical, electrical, optical, firmware and software.Position ResponsibilitiesWork closely with system engineering teamto execute on test protocols for medical devices, report data, andgenerate test reportsDocument laboratoryactivities in established laboratory managementsystemsCommunicate test findings, technicalchallenges, and proposed resolutions to teams and seniorengineers.Support various laboratory relatedactivities (inventory and equipment management, generalhousekeeping)Collaborate with other engineers,technicians or other support personnel to assist in optimizing testmethods and evaluate improvements to existing processes (qualityand efficiency). Can be assigned to additionalnon-project related activities asrequired. QualifikationenB.S. in Electrical, Biomedical, SystemsEngineering or other applicable technical degree. 1-2+ years'experience requiredPrior experience withmedical device capital equipment is a plus, but not a musthaveHands-on experience withelectro-mechanical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, digital dataacquisition system, digital multimeters, etc.) is a bigplusProficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project etc.) is required.Ability to review and critically assesstesting documentation and other forms of laboratory documentationis preferredThe candidate should have ademonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in an agile developmentenvironment, manage a varied workload, exhibit strong written andverbal communication skills and interface effectively with projectteams, and management.German and EnglishknowledgeThis positionis initially limited to 12 months, with the possibility ofextension.
