As an Executive Information Technology Support Technician, you will implement IT user support plans and processes to provide technical support for hardware and software systems through effective and timely resolution of users’ problems, queries, or complaints in line with Galderma's guidelines and policies.
The role reports to the Executive IT Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implement IT user support plans and processes to effectively resolve user hardware and software problems, complaints, and queries.
2. Provide technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop, and networked systems.
3. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems (hardware and software), workstations, servers, and network issues.
4. Consult customers on all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based systems software.
5. Maintain passwords, data integrity, and system security for the desktop environment.
6. Contribute to testing and evaluation of new desktop packages, implement prototypes, and consult customers on software application selection.
7. Update hardware inventory using asset management tools and create and implement software distribution methods and standards.
8. Install LAN software upgrades, including planning, scheduling, and testing, and administer day-to-day operation and integrity of the LAN hardware and software.
9. Evaluate new products and technologies to determine their impact on existing system configurations.
10. Maintain, modify (e.g., create macros, templates), and document desktop application packages.
11. Implement site surveys to measure satisfaction and execute actions and moves.
12. Resolve and analyze issues in day-to-day delivery, focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency of IT user support.
13. Support less experienced team members, providing guidance and direction as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification in a related field.
* Proven experience in a similar IT Support Technician role.
* Business partnering, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
* Strong team player with effective communication skills.
* Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
