We are seeking an experienced veterinarian surgeon and senior researcher with a strong interest and background in translational research, focusing on musculoskeletal research, soft tissue surgery, and biomaterials for tissue regeneration.
Responsibilities include:
1. Leading research projects as a study director, including performing surgeries and developing appropriate animal models.
2. Participating in teaching activities, mentoring, and supervising doctoral candidates.
3. Supporting the organization of seminars and symposia.
4. Preparing and submitting project proposals, grant applications, (GLP-) reports, and publications.
5. Representing the unit at external conferences and meetings.
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have completed veterinary surgical training (e.g., ECVS / ACVS accredited or equivalent) and preferably hold a PhD with research experience. German language skills are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn German is expected. The candidate should be motivated, innovative, and interested in developing their own research within the MSRU. Teamwork, flexibility, curiosity, and a commitment to supervising young researchers are essential.
