Senior Tax Specialist
Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing tax projects for more differentiated customer service and optimized processes at the interfaces to finance, legal & compliance and risk management
* Responsible for managing one or more tax processes or tax products simultaneously
* Responsible for further automation of processes in the tax department including internal and external interfaces
* Responsible for the implementation of optimized products and processes as well as regular review
* Responsible for the evaluation of complex tax issues in the framework that could have a significant impact on individuals and companies
* Responsible for analyzing, prioritizing and validating complex and dynamic data material from various sources
* Support functional teams and ensure regulatory compliance in working with tax authorities
* Responsible for interpreting policies, procedures or guidelines to resolve complex issues or transactions
* Responsible for assessing risk at various levels of the organization when making business decisions
* Ensure compliance with applicable rules and laws and ensure transparency
* Responsible for representing tax teams on committees for cross-functional processes or projects
* Responsible for coaching and training employees, teams and managers
* Ad hoc projects
Qualifications
* Master's or Bachelor's degree
* Tax Expert
* Professional experience with Swiss Tax Law, CRS and US Tax issues (Forms W 8/9, FATCA, QI) and tax reporting
* Knowledge of tax software in compliance with authorities, local regulations and guidelines
* Experience with validation of US tax forms and CRS tax self-reports
* Knowledge of client validation
* Analytical skills and attention to detail
* Ability to make correct decisions
* Interest in improving customer service
* Strength of character in dealing with complex situations
* Eloquence in dealing professionally with business and IT
* Enthusiasm for working in an international environment
* Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
* German as well as English
