Qualifications
* Applicants should hold an Associate’s degree and be fluent in Pashto.
* Completed or currently enrolled in one of the interpreter training courses below or equivalent:
o Southern NH Area Health Education Center
o Language Bank Training
o Massachusetts Medical Interpreter Training
o Northshore Community College
o UNH Medical Interpreter (Spanish/English)
o Nashua Community College Medical Interpreter Training (Spanish/English)
Summary Responsibilities
The educational interpreter/translator is primarily responsible for facilitating communication among students and parents who speak a language other than English. The educational interpreter provides interpreting and as well as additional support services to students and parents who need assistance with the English language. Applicant will be proficient in written translation.
