We are seeking a talented Data Engineer with leadership ambitions to join our team and help modernize and enhance our data environment, making it a reliable source for business decisions. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating our platforms with corporate Business Intelligence, establishing centralized and robust data pipelines, and monitoring and improving their performance, quality, and practices.
Responsibilities:
* Become an expert in source data structures, business entities, and processes.
* Gather requirements from business stakeholders and structure them effectively.
* Generalize data into the most suitable structure within the Data Warehouse for data distribution.
* Implement DataOps processes including QA, monitoring, optimization, security, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
* Design and develop efficient business processes into functional pipelines.
* Transform legacy data pipelines into well-documented DataOps practices.
* Ensure integration with the enterprise PowerBI analytics platform.
* Lead and mentor data teams and platform developers to harmonize data platforms.
* Support and troubleshoot existing data pipelines, transforming legacy systems.
* Implement data management policies and ensure compliance.
* Proactively suggest system improvements and process enhancements.
* Ensure accurate and timely data processing.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
* Experience with Azure, MS SQL databases, data warehouses, ADF, and PowerBI.
* Strong T-SQL skills and understanding of SQL execution plans.
* Experience with data warehouse architecture.
* Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills across different locations and time zones.
* Ability to mentor development teams.
* Knowledge of eCommerce or consumer business is a plus.
