Product Manager for Fire Safety – Detection and Signaling

The Detection and Signaling product line delivers innovative detectors, signalling devices and supplementary products that safeguard life, health and assets.
Location
This role will be based in Zug, Switzerland. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in Switzerland.
Your new responsibilities
* Product lifecycle management: oversee strategy, roadmaps, development, launch, maintenance and retirement of products.
* Product specification: collaborate with customers, engineering and external partners to define and prioritize requirements, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
* Product maintenance: lead ongoing updates and enhancements to keep products competitive and meet customer needs.
* Market research: conduct comprehensive analysis of customer needs, market trends and regulatory dynamics, identify improvement opportunities and prepare detailed competitive assessments.
* Product launch: develop marketing strategies, coordinate with sales teams and manage promotional activities for successful introductions.
* Financial analysis: perform regular portfolio analysis to gauge performance, uncover opportunities for innovation, and align with business strategy.
Your talents and experience
* University degree or higher education in engineering, business engineering or a comparable field.
* 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
* Strong understanding of business economics and financials, with a long‑term strategic perspective.
* Experience in the fire‑safety industry or related building‑management systems is highly valued.
* Familiarity with lean/Agile development methodologies such as SAFe.
* Resilience in challenging situations, analytical approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German and other European languages is an advantage.
