We are looking for an experienced Shipping and Invoicing Manager to join our fast-paced international business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 4 shipping and invoicing operators, overseeing all aspects of international trade, including developing new export markets, managing existing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws. The person will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of global trade and a keen eye for detail. They must be highly organized and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Your contribution:
Develop and implement export strategies to maximize profits and minimize costs.
Prepare export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
Establish and manage relationships with international partners, including distributors, agents, and vendors.
Manage a team of shipping clerks, creating efficiencies within the team to ensure the smooth distribution of all Export and invoicing activities.
Monitor export transactions and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
Monitor international regulations and compliance requirements.
Assist with negotiating shipping contracts and freight forwarding agreements.
Review and approve freight forwarders' invoices.
Liaise with customs authorities and other government bodies to ensure compliance with regulations.
Develop and maintain export databases, records, and reports.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
Address customer inquiries and complaints to full resolution.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize export operations.
Perform all End of Month activities to ensure all invoicing requirements are completed as required.
You will fit perfectly into our team if:
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in export management or logistics.
You have a Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
You speak fluent English and French.
You have a strong understanding of international trade regulations, Swiss customs regulations, and documentation requirements.
You have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with SAP 4 HANA ERP software.
You possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
You have the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
You can adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
You have a customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
