We are URGENTLY looking for a Project Manager CapEx to join our teams in Switzerland and support the delivery of local investment projects related to Bulk and Fractionation operations, from feasibility studies through planning, execution, and qualification/validation. The position is a permanent contract (CDI) and a consultant role within our Life Sciences experts (not a contractor).
Your Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver local CapEx projects within the scope of Global Engineering / Project Delivery (ENG / PD), ensuring alignment with site objectives, technical standards, budget, timeline, and quality expectations.
* Manage projects from the feasibility phase through concept development, detailed planning, execution, commissioning, and qualification/validation, with a strong focus on operational readiness and compliance.
* Oversee projects mainly related to Bulk and Fractionation, while also supporting other engineering project scopes depending on business needs and site priorities.
* Coordinate cross-functional project activities involving engineering, production, quality, validation, maintenance, procurement, and external suppliers/contractors.
* Ensure robust project governance, including scope definition, risk assessment, planning, budgeting, resource coordination, reporting, and change control management.
* Drive the preparation and follow-up of project documentation, including technical specifications, URS, design reviews, schedules, budgets, progress reports, and handover packages.
* Manage contractors and suppliers, including contract follow-up, deliverable review, performance monitoring, and alignment with project objectives and site requirements.
* Support and ensure compliance with cGxP requirements, as well as applicable internal and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Supervise and contribute to qualification and validation activities, ensuring that systems and equipment are delivered in line with quality and compliance expectations.
* Monitor project costs and timelines closely, ensuring proper project controlling, anticipation of deviations, and implementation of mitigation actions where needed.
* Provide technical leadership in the areas of process and infrastructure engineering, especially within regulated chemical, biotech, and pharmaceutical environments.
* Facilitate communication with stakeholders at both local and global levels, ensuring clear visibility on project progress, challenges, risks, and decision points.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering and project delivery practices, leveraging lessons learned and best practices across projects.
Your Profile
* Degree (Bachelor, Master or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of successful project management experience on mid-sized CapEx projects with high complexity in the chemical, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
* Proven experience in leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams in a regulated industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including contract management, budgeting, planning, risk management, and project controlling.
* Solid technical understanding of process and infrastructure engineering in chemical, biotech, or pharmaceutical production environments.
* Demonstrated experience with cGxP requirements and qualification/validation activities.
* Leadership capabilities enabling effective coordination of stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
* Strong organizational skills, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in complex project environments.
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
