The Position
Join Roche Group SHE (Safety, Security, Health and Environment) as an intern for an exciting 6-month project from July to December 2025. Our vision at SHE@Roche is to empower our employees to achieve patient outcomes without compromising the planet. The Group SHE organization operates through a role-based matrix, featuring Chapters that bring together people and expertise, and Networks that deliver programs and outcomes. Programs are primarily driven through Squads, Centers of Excellence, and Communities of Practice.
The opportunity
- Working as a project member with defined responsibilities and outcomes
- Having the opportunity to develop concepts
- Reporting to the Group SHE Chapter Lead Environment
- Being supervised by one of the Sustainable Operations Enablers
- Aiming to position Roche’s sites and procurement operations to gather relevant data and direction
- Enabling the company to achieve the goals set by Priority 6 of the Sustainability Strategy
Who you are
- Passionate about environmental sustainability, nature conservation, and corporate responsibility
- Interested in the intersection of business and nature, creating positive impacts beyond minimizing harm
- Curios about global supply chains and their environmental impacts, and how to mitigate them
- Eager to develop Nature Strategies, including nature-positive roadmaps, biodiversity action plans, and regenerative approaches
- Pursuing a degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Business, Natural Resources Management, or related fields
- Currently enrolled but on a semester break
- Experienced in delivering environmental sustainability projects (ideal but not required)
- Strong communication skills in English; German is an asset
- Having basic understanding of key sustainability concepts (planetary boundaries, nature positive, environmental risk assessment, life cycle thinking)
- Having strong research and analytical skills, synthesizing scientific, policy, and corporate reporting into actionable insights
