Operative Purchaser

Responsibilities:
1. Day-to-day purchasing of materials and services, purchase to stock and purchase to order
2. Monitor purchase requisitions and timely expedition (PR-to-PO cycle time)
3. Monitor purchase orders ( order confirmations, delivery dates)
4. First contact person for suppliers for PO’s, review and approval of supplier invoices according to delegation of authority
5. Handling and coordination of customer claims, non confomities and warranty cases for suppliers
6. Supporting metrics such as supplier performance and delivery reliability
7. Support local procurement organisation with tasks within the operative purchasing team
8. Close collaboration with supliers, material planning, 4 PL and strategic purchasing
9. RFQ, negotiate and execute spot buys within given guideline
10. Supervise and support the apprentice with their daily tasks
Requirements:
11. Completed vocational Swiss training EFZ (Berufslehre), ideally further training as a purchasing specialist (m/f/d) or technical merchant (m/f/d) with a federal certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably complemented by technical knowledge in mechanical engineering or a relevant discipline
12. Several years of experience in operational purchasing, material planning or related functions
13. Solid understanding of PR–PO–GR–IR processes and its applications
14. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in German
15. Capable of effectively engaging with cross-functional, multinational teams, and external stakeholders
16. Hands-on SAP knowledge (preferably SAP S/4HANA) so as in MSO such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
17. Some technical understanding preferred
18. High level of commitment, self-motivated and team spirit
