The role: Reporting to the Global Head of Internal Audit, SoftwareOne is seeking a Head of Enterprise Risk Management to establish and develop our global ERM capability. This individual contributor role will partner closely with executive leadership, senior management, cross-functional teams, and Board-level stakeholders to embed a pragmatic, business‑focused risk management framework across the organization. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks across complex global operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and build and mature robust risk frameworks that protect assets while enabling data‑driven decision‑making that supports sustainable growth and value creation.
Location: Switzerland/UK; Work arrangement: Hybrid; Reports to: Global Head of Internal Audit; Visa Requirements: Valid work authorization; Language Requirements: Fluent/professional English, written and verbal.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement SoftwareOne’s global ERM framework, including risk appetite, KRIs, and governance structures, aligned with COSO ERM and ISO 31000
* Lead enterprise‑wide risk identification, assessment, and maintenance of the risk register while continuously monitoring external regulatory, cybersecurity, and geopolitical risks
* Partner with executive leadership to embed risk considerations into strategic planning, M&A, and operational decisions, and deliver insight‑driven reporting to Board‑level committees
* Drive a strong risk culture through awareness, training, and integration across global functions, collaborating with Internal Audit, Compliance, InfoSec, Legal, Finance, and other key stakeholders
* Strengthen organizational resilience by coordinating crisis management and business continuity planning
* Provide forward‑looking risk insights that support proactive decision‑making and enhance enterprise‑wide governance
What we need to see from you
* Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or risk management; advanced degree or certifications (CRMA, CIA, CISA, FRM) advantageous
* Extensive experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, or governance roles within technology or consulting organizations
* Strong understanding of ERM frameworks (COSO ERM, ISO 31000), risk appetite frameworks, scenario analysis, and KRIs
* Proven experience implementing ERM frameworks in complex, international organizations
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership and present to executives and Board‑level audiences
* Strategic and pragmatic approach suited to building governance capabilities
