The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. We conduct cutting‑edge research in future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation, and the fundamentals of nature, aiming to create sustainable solutions for society’s major challenges. PSI employs 2,300 people, many of whom are postdocs, postgraduates, or apprentices.
Based in the Science IT Infrastructure and Services (AWI) Department and working for the AI Operations Working Group, we are looking for a Coordinator.
Your tasks
* Support organisational units with change‑management activities related to the adoption and operational use of AI across the institute.

* Report to management on AI‑related business operations and activities.
* Build and foster cooperation with other institutes, universities, and industry partners.
* Organise and coordinate awareness campaigns and a community promoting the responsible use of AI within the institution.
* Establish and maintain a central information hub for AI topics (intranet, newsletter, knowledge base, Teams channel).
* Monitor trends and technological developments in AI, including those relevant to PSI’s scientific and service portfolio.
* Provide support for AI‑related initiatives, including meeting coordination, project management, and, where required, funding administration.
Your profile
* Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in natural sciences, computational science, or a related field, with a specialization in AI or scientific computing.
* Proven experience in driving people and projects – ideally in AI governance or technology adoption – without direct line‑management responsibilities.
* Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
* Familiarity with legal, IT, and compliance frameworks.
* Fluent in English with good German skills.
