PySpark Software Engineer - Databricks, Azure, Data Engineering - long-term contract opportunity to join our Zürich-based client in the financial sector.
Your tasks:
* Participate in a major transformation project supporting data engineering efforts.
* Implement production-ready data pipelines using PySpark on Databricks based on specifications from business analysts.
* Collaborate with data engineers and solution architects to meet technical requirements.
Your experience/knowledge:
* Strong experience with PySpark, Delta Lake, Databricks, and Azure fundamentals.
* Solid software engineering skills, including familiarity with design patterns and best practices.
* Experience developing complex software systems.
* Understanding of data engineering techniques with programming languages like Java, C#, or Python.
* Strong core Python engineering experience.
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
* Language skills: English.
