Are you ready to be part of a world-class team at Lonza? We are looking for an exceptionally passionate Automation Technician to join our Engineering team in Stein AG (Switzerland). This role is positioned at the forefront of ambitious projects, including being part of the construction of new filling lines. You will be responsible for ensuring the flawless operation of our HVAC & Utility systems, which are critical to our success and the safety of our products.

Key responsibilities Participate in FATs and commissioning activities to enable a smooth handover of the aseptic filling line and equipment
Provide first-level support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for assigned facilities and equipment, assisting mechanics with troubleshooting and resolution
Complete, document, and monitor maintenance, calibration, and commissioning activities in strict accordance with safety and cGMP requirements
Monitor and control automated production processes to ensure flawless operation
Support balanced programs, tools, and processes to improve plant operability and reliability
Induct and train new employees in compliance with GxP guidelines
Prepare for operational readiness, including planning operating instructions, ensuring the safe operation of systems, coordinating training courses, and maintaining and servicing systems
Key requirements Apprenticeship as "Automatiker EFZ" (Automation Technician), Electrician or equivalent education
Proven work experience as an Automation Technician in the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industries (e.g. medical device, food, semiconductor)
Experience with GMP is a plus
Fluent in either German or English (with willingness to learn the other language; language courses offered)
Willingness for on-call service
