* Design, implement, and manage enterprise AIX environments, including components such as LPARs, VIO, NIM, and HMC/IVM.
* Operate, maintain, and scale Linux and Unix systems alongside their supporting infrastructure (storage, hardware, networking).
* Participate in planning and executing new infrastructure initiatives while enhancing and optimizing existing systems.
* Provide second-level support within the established support organization, including participation in on-call rotations.
* Ensure adherence to security standards, backup concepts, and change management processes.
* Utilize Ansible to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
Your Profile
* Degree in Computer Science (University or University of Applied Sciences).
* At least 5 years of practical experience working with IBM AIX (versions 7.1 / 7.2 / 7.3).
* Strong understanding of enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NFS, GPFS) and PowerVM virtualization.
* Initial hands-on experience with LPAR and VIO administration.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience managing Linux environments (preferably RHEL) and proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
* Fluent in English; German skills are an advantage.
* Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5–10%).
* Strong analytical mindset, ability to prioritize effectively, and a reliable, responsible work approach under pressure.
