Business development manager

CK QLS are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing biotech organisation seeking a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across Switzerland.

This is an exciting opportunity for a scientifically trained professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and working at the forefront of drug discovery innovation.

The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and expanding business opportunities within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. You will engage with prospective clients, manage the sales process from initial contact through to contract negotiation, and represent the company at industry conferences and networking events.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Swiss biotech and biopharma market.

Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers.

Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract execution.

Represent the organisation at conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.

Partner with marketing teams to enhance brand awareness and market presence.

Develop a strong understanding of the company's innovative service offerings and technologies.

About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:

A PhD in a bioscience-related discipline.

A strong interest in combining scientific expertise with commercial strategy.

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

The confidence to engage with senior scientists and decision-makers within biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

A proactive, results-driven approach to business development.

Willingness to travel for customer visits and industry events.

Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, or revenue generation within life sciences would be advantageous.
