The opportunity
For our Business Unit High Voltage Products in Zurich‑Oerlikon, we are looking for an R&D Designer to strengthen our Interrupter Development team within High Voltage Circuit Breaker development.
In this role, you will contribute to product design and development activities within our CAD/PLM landscape for ongoing R&D projects. The position is part of the Interrupter Development team and works closely with the responsible R&D engineers within product development projects. You will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and quality of 3D/2D model data for assigned components and assemblies, supporting virtual product development from prototype phase to serial production.

How you’ll make an impact
1. Take responsibility for the 3D/2D CAD/PLM implementation from concept design to series production within product development projects on high voltage switching devices
2. Create, modify and analyze the design of selected components and assemblies of switching devices in close collaboration with R&D Engineers, and collaborate and support other project stakeholders, such as supply chain and product care
3. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CAD/PLM/SAP related processes and activities and drive the overall model quality

4. Successfully completed apprenticeship as
5. Excellent know-how in CAD/PLM systems, ideally PTC CREO and PTC Windchill
6. Good Knowledge in SAP/Office
7. High expectations on quality of work in all regards
8. Independent, proactive and goal-oriented personality
9. Practically oriented and hands-on way of working
10. Team-player, committed, willing to learn
11. Good command of German both written and spoken
