Category Manager Raw Materials – Fillers & Minerals (m/w/d)

Your Responsibilities
* Lead supplier price and contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and conditions
* Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business goals
* Drive cost reduction initiatives across assigned categories
* Establish and maintain a strategic supplier panel to ensure long-term supply security
* Share relevant market insights with internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
* Organize and conduct regular business review meetings with key suppliers
* Ensure competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms through strategic sourcing
* Draft, manage, and ensure compliance with supplier contracts
* Meet key performance indicators (KPIs), with a focus on cost management and supplier performance
* Build strong supplier relationships and secure long-term contingency planning
* Foster cross-functional collaboration to align procurement strategies with corporate objectives
* Engage in active communication and negotiation with suppliers to achieve best-value outcomes
Our Requirements
* Master’s degree in Business Administration or at equal level through experience; in-depth understanding and knowledge of the industry is a plus
* Proven track record of over 5 years in the procurement or supply chain sector, with a strong emphasis on strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive cost-saving initiatives, achieving measurable improvements in efficiency and profitability
* Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing complex contract negotiations
* Forward thinking, self-directed, capable of taking independent actions, and ability to take decisions that drive business performance
* Project management skills to support procurement initiatives
* Knowledge of computer software, including ERP systems and digital procurement tools
* Fluent in written and oral English (Level C1), any other language is a plus
* Willingness to travel (approx. 5-10%)
