Job Description: SCI Microbiology Laboratory Technician - German contract opportunity to join our Stein-based client in the Agricultural and Chemical sector.
Your tasks include:
Safe handling and accurate measuring of chemicals, biological inoculum, and seeds.
Preparing growth media and plates.
Seed treatments on a laboratory scale.
Safe disposal of biological waste via local processes and autoclave.
Preparing and maintaining experiments with seeds and growing seedlings, including preparing media, planting seeds, and timely watering.
Taking high-quality photographs, including time-lapse sequences, of experiments.
Monitoring experiments and recording data.
Maintaining a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness in the microbiology laboratory.
Following all safety procedures diligently in the Seedcare Institute and Stein research facility.
Your experience/knowledge:
Practical training or work experience in a scientific laboratory setting.
Track record of working safely and accurately in a laboratory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quick learning of IT applications.
Good teamworking skills and results-oriented attitude.
Experience handling chemicals, biological materials, germination seeds, and plants is an advantage.
Fluent in spoken and written German; able to communicate in English (B1 level or equivalent).
Additional languages such as French are advantageous.

Excellent comprehension skills with attention to detail.
Strong self-organization and time management.
Analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
Additional details: On-site work in Stein, Aargau, starting August 2025 for 6+ months, full-time (100%).
