Senior Operator – Biofuels

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and emotionally intelligent Senior Operator – Biofuels to join our growing operations team. You will play a critical role in managing the full operational lifecycle of biofuels and jet fuel cargoes — from trade confirmation to final delivery.
This position offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership role, so we are looking for someone with strong coordination skills, commercial acumen, and the maturity to step up over time. You will report directly to the Team Leader, who is also actively involved from the first interview stage.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute end-to-end operations for biofuels and jet fuel cargoes, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.
* Manage vessel nominations, shipping documentation, terminal coordination, customs, LCs, and inspection processes.
* Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including shipping agents, terminals, and inspectors.
* Support and delegate tasks across the team to ensure smooth workflows and continuous knowledge sharing.
* Monitor cargo execution timelines and proactively mitigate delays or disruptions.
* Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to the improvement of operational procedures and support best-practice sharing across the team.
* Maintain a commercial mindset, recognizing how operational decisions impact trading outcomes.
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in biofuels or jet fuel operations, ideally within a trading environment.
* Deep understanding of shipping logistics, Incoterms, blending, terminal operations, and trading documentation.
* Strong coordination and delegation abilities; you are detail-oriented, organized, and used to handling multiple shipments simultaneously.
* High emotional intelligence and interpersonal maturity; able to collaborate across functions and with external partners.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to think one step ahead operationally.
* Fluency in English; other languages are an asset.
* Prior experience in mentoring or supporting junior team members is a plus, though not a formal team leader role (yet).
