Strategic Operations Executive

We are seeking an experienced operations leader to drive growth and efficiency across our organization.


About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead the specification and optimization of client-facing processes, including onboarding, offboarding, communications, and reporting. This individual will also support fund operations, particularly the integration of the investment team's activities with finance, accounting, and investor relations.

The COO will take ownership of and drive special projects that enhance various aspects of the business, such as evaluating structured products to optimize fund structure and returns or assessing eligibility for government grants supporting technology startups.


Key Responsibilities

* Process Optimization: Lead the specification and optimization of client-facing processes, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.
* Fund Operations Support: Collaborate with the investment team to integrate their activities with finance, accounting, and investor relations, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
* Special Projects: Take ownership of and drive projects that enhance various aspects of the business, leveraging expertise to drive innovation and growth.
* Talent Development: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and performance.
* CRM Platform Management: Ensure our internal CRM platform is optimized for relevant business processes, streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity.

This role requires a dynamic executive with a strong operations background at crypto-native companies and some experience in either finance or investment roles at a high-quality firm.


Requirements

* Operational Experience: 5+ years in operational roles, preferably spanning both crypto-native companies and investment fund management.
* Management Skills: Proven management and people development skills, with a track record of success.
* Problem-Solving: Strong project management and methodical problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
* Financial Acumen: Understanding corporate finance and/or M&A activities, with the ability to analyze data and drive informed decisions.
* Relationship Building: The ability to manage high-value relationships with key external stakeholders, fostering trust and cooperation.
* Crypto Industry Knowledge: Passion for blockchain and crypto technologies, with a deep understanding of their potential impact.
* Entrepreneurial Mindset: An entrepreneurial mindset with a capacity for independent and flexible thinking, able to adapt to changing circumstances.
* Autonomy and Precision: Ability to work in an autonomous, methodical, and detail-oriented manner, with a high level of precision required for success.
* Location: Willingness to be co-located in Zug at least a majority of the time.
* Personal Qualities: Integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, honesty, and forthright communication, with a commitment to open-minded collaboration.
* Language Proficiency: Fluency in English.
