ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a logistics enthusiast with a passion for problem-solving? At Decathlon Switzerland, we are transforming our supply chain to deliver products faster and more sustainably.
We are looking for a Transport Operations Coordinator to join our team in Onnens. You will play a vital role in ensuring our stores are replenished daily, allowing our customers to find exactly what they need, when they need it. This is a hands-on, operational role where you will work closely with our transport partners and logistics teams to keep the flow moving.
YOUR MISSION
Your main goal is to improve product availability through efficient delivery schedules. You will:
1. Coordinate daily deliveries: You take the lead on daily operations. Ensure 90% of our stores receive daily deliveries, transitioning from a "stock" mindset to a "flow" mindset.
2. Monitor operations: Work daily with Célia (Logistics) and Serena (Transport) to ensure transport plans are respected and efficient.
3. Manage partners: Follow up with transport providers to ensure they meet our quality, cost, and deadline standards.
4. Drive circularity: Implement "Reverse Logistics" to manage store returns, second-life products, and recycling back to our warehouse.
5. Optimize transport plans: Help design and adapt transport routes for different regions to reduce CO2 emissions and costs.
Profil
WHO ARE YOU?
We are looking for a "field expert" mindset. Junior profiles or recent graduates with a background in Supply Chain/Logistics are highly encouraged to apply!
6. Language skills: English is mandatory. Proficiency in French and/or German is a major advantage.
7. Mindset: This is a "solo" role on this specific scope. You need to be a self-starter, take initiative, and be a natural problem-solver.
8. Customer-centric: You understand that a delay in transport is a disappointed customer in the store. You have a strong "sense of service."
9. Analytical: You are rigorous with data—when you propose a solution, it’s because you’ve analyzed the impact on the store and the final customer.
10. Communication: You have great interpersonal skills and can work effectively with different teams (Warehouse, Supply, and Store Leaders).
11. Sportsperson: Like all of us at Decathlon, you are a passionate and active sportsperson!
KEY DETAILS
12. Relocation: You will start in Onnens, but the role will be relocated to the Bern area in September 2026.
13. Internalization: This is a 7-month temporary mission. Please note that there is no guarantee of extension or permanent internalization at the end of this period.
