For our Swiss Market, we are currently looking for a Trade Marketing Lead in Lausanne, Switzerland.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, execution and deployment of initiatives that are critical to achieving short, mid, and long-term categories objectives. You will ensure seamless end-to-end content delivery, including transcreation across all relevant channels, working in close partnership with internal teams (Marketing, Consumer Programs, Portfolio, Commercial Operations, Legal, and EA) to deliver high-impact materials with excellence in execution. You will also align local activities with Global and EU team developments and toolboxes, securing partner approval and agreement for local deployment, and ensuring full legal compliance for all trade marketing materials and executions. A strong command of trade marketing frameworks and discernment are essential, as is a proactive approach to driving impactful improvements and innovation based on insights from continuous feedback loop monitoring.
You will:
* Lead the development, production, and delivery of all TPOSM, PPOSM, physical and digital, visual merchandising materials to support all categories and program initiatives across assigned channels.
* Develop and lead channel-specific plans acting as the main guardian of each channel through direct interaction to agree on annual Joint Marketing and Activation Plans.
* Partner with B&C Managers from all categories and programs owners to build the Trade marketing strategy that contribute to deliver short/mid/long term objectives based on continuous feedback and leveraging on opportunities, to define key focus areas and drive differentiation and impact.
* Manage the end-to-end execution of selected projects which would be critical to impact Categories and programs target.
* Ensure that the projects roll out timely and as per agreed scope.
* Coordinate effectively with relevant partners to ensure alignment, resource optimization, and seamless delivery of key projects.
* Monitor project progress and proactively address potential risks or bottlenecks to maintain delivery excellence.
* Brief and guide all suppliers (agencies, third parties) in the development of brand and trade materials, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives per channel and affiliate priorities.
* Develop strong relationship with creative and production agencies supporting them in meeting PM standards and continuously evaluating their performance.
* Identify and select the right partners to ensure excellence in execution of initiatives (individually or in collaboration with other departments).
* Coordinate and work with all relevant internal partners to ensure alignment and timely implementation of initiatives across channels.
* Collaborate closely with the category and program teams and other internal functions to ensure initiatives aligns with broader business priorities.
* Manage Region & OC Stakeholders on affiliate communication priorities and concepts to ensure alignment for toolbox development, deployment and potential adaptations when required.
* Work closely with the dedicated channels teams (Brand Retail, KA, Manned touchpoints, etc.) to ensure best fit-for-channel solutions and impactful execution.
* Constructively challenge established processes when necessary to drive better outcomes, efficiency, and value creation for all materials.
* Negotiate, optimize, and own project-based budget with agencies, (incl. PO management), ensuring accurate tracking and full alignment with team budget guidelines.
* Submit rolling forecasts and provide monthly updates to ensure trade marketing budget is allocated effectively and efficiently.
* Track third party spend and project costs, ensuring all expenditures are monitored closely and aligned with financial targets and return on investment expectations.
* Strive for excellence in execution across all projects, using the most effective tools, ensuring precise retro-planning and maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.
* Maintain deep knowledge of the global toolbox from PMI OC, identifying suitable tools and channels with successful findings from other functions or PMI affiliates.
* Stay ahead of evolving consumer trends and emerging technologies to enhance content impact and production efficiency (e.g., AR and VR, AI) in collaboration with relevant internal and external partners.
* Consistently follow up on trade marketing innovations that could enhance execution and bring fresh ideas and inspiration to the team (e.g., trade fairs, trade events etc.…).
* Conduct regular field visits and maintain a continuous feedback loop from the field to ensure actionable learnings, drive best practice sharing and continuously refine local execution for greater impact.
Who we’re looking for:
* Bachelor/Master in Communications, Marketing or similar.
* At least 3 years in commercial function, marketing, brand management, digital marketing or similar experience with creative agencies and third party is a strong plus.
* Project leadership and management across budget, timing, agencies, and complex cross-functional projects.
* Deep understanding of consumer/retailer journey and insights to tailor trade marketing content.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
