This is a temporary contractor opportunity at Novartis.
The Authentifield Library Producer is a highly specialized and technical role reporting functionally and operationally to the Anti-Falsified Medicines, Director PharmINT & Forensics in the Anti-Falsified Medicines CoE in Global Security. The role oversees spectral library production, collaborates with PharmINT associates, manufacturing sites, and external partners, builds and maintains NIR spectral libraries to aid in detecting falsified medicines, and manages exhibits, samples and other items in the PharmINT Warehouse in compliance with technical, environmental, and health & safety standards.
Major Activities & Accountabilities
* Library Production: Manage the production of spectral libraries, including the collection, recording, and validation of spectral data. Ensure the operational status and calibration of LabScanner devices.
* Exhibit Management: Oversee the receipt, documentation, and storage of forensic exhibits. Ensure proper chain of custody and maintain accurate records of all exhibits.
* Quality Assurance: Maintain Labscanners in the Authentifield ecosystem through periodic and preventive maintenance, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and adherence to quality standards. Maintain documentation and records of library production processes.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including quality control labs and manufacturing sites. Provide insights and support during forensic casework and library production activities.
* Training and Support: Provide training and assistance to end-users on accessing and utilizing the Labscanners in the Authentifield ecosystem.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's, master's degree in chemistry, spectroscopy, or a related scientific field or equivalent education with experience in pharmaceutical industry.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in spectral analysis, pharmaceutical evaluation, or a related field. Experience in managing spectral libraries and conducting spectral assessments is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in using spectroscopy tools and techniques. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. High level of integrity and professionalism. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and requirements in the field of spectroscopy and spectral library productions.
Specific Experience: Office and laboratory settings. Adherence to security protocols and guidelines. Ensuring confidentiality and integrity of spectral data and reports. Profound knowledge in analytical technology and equipment, including qualification and calibration. Good know-how in common computer applications (e.g., databases, SAP, MS Office, SharePoint) and laboratory-specific applications (e.g., Chromeleon). Good written and verbal communication skills.
Workload: 100% (40 hours per week).
Role type: Onsite. Contract: until 31/12/2028.
