Scientific Communications Manager
Our client is a pioneer in Drug Discovery and Development and one of the frontrunners in Personalised Healthcare. As the world`s largest R&D spender in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics domain, they work in a vast number of drug discovery & therapeutic areas and are highly recognized internationally. We are looking for a Scientific Communications Manager for a 12 months contract (with possibility for extension) to be based in Zug area, Switzerland.
Main responsibilities:
1. Manage publication strategy and development activities, including establishing Publication Strategies and Plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of set plan objectives, managing publication development, including review and tracking of individual publications and taking responsibility for internal communications around published and presented publications (publication announcements, Publication Newsletter and spotlight summaries);
2. Serve as Chair during cross functional meetings in the therapeutic area to ensure alignment of communication plans with medical and commercial plans, engage with medical experts and internal stakeholders to provide scientific input on congresses, symposia, advisory boards and other key scientific messages;
3. Liaise with external health care professionals and medical communication agencies as well as effectively manage available internal resources;
4. Participate in medical education events and provide scientific expertise on creating effective communication solutions for unmet communication needs and specific target audiences.
Qualifications and Experience:
5. Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required;
6. Scientific education: Master’s or PhD degree Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Neurodegenerative Diseases, Central Nervous System (CNS) or related area;
7. Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical communications, scientific communications or publications management experience in a pharma / diagnostics environment;
8. CMPP Certification, working knowledge of Datavision;
9. Excellent knowledge of Good Publication Practice and ICMJE guidelines;
10. Native proficiency and excellent writing and editing skills in English.
