Key job responsibilities
Program management and oversight of construction-related activities for new builds or general capital projects, including ownership of project scope, timeline, and budget.
Vendor management and ensuring construction standards are followed.
Perform quality audits and remediating issues before releasing vendors from the project.
Understanding of EMEA fiber market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
Interface with data centre providers to drive equipment and circuit installations.
Ensure engineering technical requirements are met in completed projects.
Create detailed network planning packs to build scalable, future-proof infrastructure.
Ensure fiber deployment diversity requirements are met.
Deep understanding of the fiber construction process.
Program management, risk mitigation and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers.
Ensure health and safety compliance within local markets.
Create project scope and equipment requirements, assist with RFPs and capital requests.
Understand deployment mechanisms for complex fiberoptic networks.
Work across multiple time zones.
Travel up to 25% of the time.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Technical Infrastructure Program Management.
3+ years of experience in Program or Project Management.
Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to network infrastructure (optical fiber, network hardware, data centers).
Understanding of the optical fiber industry and markets.
Fiber characterization and ability to review fiber test results.
Strong technical understanding of transport technologies (fiber materials, DWDM, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of fiber optic network infrastructure and construction standards.
Familiarity with GIS platforms and quality assurance processes.
Has led multiple large network construction programs.
