An established international trading house based in Geneva is seeking an experienced agriculture trader to join their team. The role focuses on trading sugar or grains with a particular emphasis on West African markets. This is a key position for someone with strong regional knowledge and a solid background in commodity trading.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Develop and manage trading strategies for sugar or grains across West Africa.
 * Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners in the region.
 * Monitor market trends, pricing, and regulatory developments to identify trading opportunities.
 * Collaborate with internal teams including risk, finance, and logistics to ensure smooth execution of trades.
 * Represent the company at industry events and in negotiations with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
 * Minimum of 5 years' experience in agricultural commodities trading, specifically in sugar or grains.
 * Proven expertise in West African markets, including sourcing, sales, and logistics.
 * Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
 * Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
 * Willingness to travel across the region as needed.
 * Fluency in English; French is a strong advantage.
