Job Description
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
1. Design activities for all types of embankments, from early-stage design phases to projects under construction.
2. Lead dam safety assessments.
3. Develop and lead a team of engineers working on embankment design and safety assessment, assuming a leadership role in guiding and mentoring emerging dam engineers through on-the-job training.
4. Coordinate senior and international experts involved in specific tasks.
5. Participate in the preparation of tender documents for embankments.
6. Participate in the preparation of offers for engineering services (business acquisition).
7. Short missions abroad to support site activities, attend site meetings, etc.
Qualifications
MSc in Civil Engineering
8. Minimum 10/15 years of experience on international projects.
9. Master of Science in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnics.
10. Experience in conception, design and construction follow-up of embankment dams.
11. Good knowledge of International Standards and Guidelines for Dam Design, such as USBR, USACE, FERC and others.
12. Experience as EPC Designer is highly appreciated.
13. Being an active member in one of the ICOLD working groups on embankments is highly appreciated.
14. Good verbal & written communication skills in English is mandatory. French, Italian, or German are a plus.
15. Ability and motivation to travel abroad for short assignments.
