Do you want to actively shape innovative packaging solutions in the medical technology field and take on technical responsibility in interdisciplinary development projects?
In this versatile role, you will accompany the conception, development, and optimisation of modern packaging systems for medical products, from the initial idea to technical support during ongoing operations. You will combine regulatory requirements with technical know‑how, production understanding, and a high standard of user‑friendliness. As the central contact person, you coordinate complex packaging issues and contribute significantly to the successful implementation of holistic packaging solutions.
What you can achieve
Development and optimisation of packaging systems for medical products (sterile barrier systems and protective packaging for single‑use and reusable products, as well as for devices)
Technical management of packaging development projects from the analysis phase to series maturity
Design and evaluation of plastic and cardboard packaging
Creation of technical packaging concepts including requirements analysis, specification creation, and technical documentation
Planning and execution of risk analyses as well as verification and validation activities for packaging and sterile barrier systems
Assessment of regulatory requirements in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs
Collaboration with external suppliers, testing laboratories, and development partners
Technical support for adjacent areas such as production, purchasing, and process engineering
Support and professional guidance of CAPA, change, and optimisation projects throughout the entire product lifecycle
Continuous improvement of existing packaging processes
What distinguishes you
Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (engineering, plastics technology, packaging technology, medical technology, or comparable technical field)
Experience in regulated environments (e.g. MedTech, Pharma, Automotive)
Expertise in handling plastic packaging and thermoforming processes
Experience with sterile barrier systems / ISO 11607 is an advantage
CAD skills (e.g. SolidWorks) desirable
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
Structured, independent working style as well as pronounced analytical, conceptual, and process‑oriented thinking ability
High level of communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners
