Lead Menswear Designer Role
About the Position
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Designer to spearhead men's premium apparel collections within our Lifestyle category. Reporting to the Design Director, you will be responsible for driving creative direction, innovation, and commercial awareness in the design process.
You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our urban outdoor aesthetic, ensuring brand consistency, and evolving successful styles while introducing fresh concepts. Collaboration with the design and product development teams is key to introducing new ideas and enhancing the existing range.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Represent design in Sales, Merchandising & Marketing meetings and work closely with Merchandising & Development teams.
* Creatively drive men's product strategy.
* Research Lifestyle and Outdoor trends and stay up-to-date on contemporary styles.
* Work with Merchandising team to manage SKU plan, considering commercial needs, key price points, business opportunities, and a 'good, better, best' philosophy.
* Design new, trend-driven product as well as evolving successful items from the past.
* Consider margin & price points to meet costing goals.
* Research trends, fits, textiles, and new technology.
* Inspire & mentor the in-house creative team with a sharing approach to ideas and 'best practice' solutions.
* Work closely with Design Director to build seasonal concepts and color strategy.
* Have a strong knowledge of pricing & fit and attend regular fitting & costing meetings.
* S sketch new seasonal designs and create perfect HO.
This role requires a passion for fashion, commercial awareness, innovation, influence, and a team-oriented mindset. Strong communication skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and collaborative problem-solving abilities are vital. Curiosity and a drive to discover new methods will motivate you.
A BA in Fashion Design and 5+ years of experience working as a Designer with 1-2 years of experience as a Senior are required. Language skills: Fluent in English. Software knowledge: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop. Ability to travel internationally, if required.
