Explore the cutting-edge field of topological materials at the nanoscale as a PhD student in this exciting research opportunity.
About the Project
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven PhD candidate to join our team of world-leading experts in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The successful candidate will enroll in the PhD programme of ETH, Switzerland, while doing their PhD work with us.
The project focuses on understanding the properties of topological conductors, including Weyl and Dirac semimetals. These materials exhibit exotic transport properties, which have highly promising potential applications for state-of-the-art CMOS technology and other fields.
The PhD project will investigate the physics of quantum transport in these materials, involving nanofabrication of novel devices, synthesis of thin-films via physical vapor deposition, and various device and material characterization methods. The work will be part of a large European project, offering many opportunities for international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
