Position: Mechanical Engineer – Product Care
Start Date: ASAP (latest 01.01.2026)
Contract Duration: 12 months (extension very likely)
Work Model: Hybrid (up to 20% home office)
Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Product Care team and contribute to innovative diagnostic solutions that support the healthcare system. This role offers the opportunity to expand your experience in the diagnostic industry, drive product care activities, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a highly dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Independently work on mechanical assemblies and projects within product care activities.
Prepare and review technical specifications and documentation updates.
Conduct root cause analyses and present redesigns to product managers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Production, Suppliers, Quality, and Regulatory.
Support external partners and manage document migration into ERP systems .
Apply expertise in modifications, extensions, and improvements of modules and devices.
Ensure compliance with technical regulations and drawing guidelines .
Must-Haves
Completed apprenticeship as a design engineer, plus further training at university, university of applied sciences, or higher education in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a design/machine engineer in medical technology, diagnostics, building technology, or GxP-regulated environments.
Proven experience in product care or project development.
Solid knowledge of CATIA V5 and SAP PLM .
Proficiency with ISO 8015 drawing guidelines .
Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in complex product environments.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Language skills: German C1 and English B2 .
