Job Summary
Recognized internationally as a market leader, Imerys Graphite & Carbon serves expanding sectors such as electric vehicles, polymers, engineering materials, and refractories for construction. Innovation and research are core to our graphite and carbon-based solutions, developed in our laboratories and produced at our state-of-the-art facilities.
Part of the solid international Imerys group, the Graphite & Carbon division has Swiss headquarters and operates globally with various commercial and production sites.
For the historic Bodio manufacturing plant, renowned for graphite processing for over a century, we are seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Analyst.
Your Role and Responsibilities
* Prepare samples and perform analyses following SOPs and OPLs.
* Verify and critically validate results.
* Manage and archive samples and related certificates properly.
* Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep.
* Conduct environmental control activities and be available for on-call duties.
* Plan environmental controls, record data in systems.
* Manage documentation and registers for chemicals and waste.
* Prepare supply orders and monitor inventory.
* Ship samples to clients and other Imerys locations.
* Collaborate proactively with other departments and sites.
* Manage contacts with external technicians.
Profile Requirements
* Federale di Capacità certification in chemistry laboratory work or equivalent (a scientific bachelor’s degree is a plus).
* Proven experience in analytical or accredited laboratories, ideally with at least 5 years of experience.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards; familiarity with IATF 16949 is a plus.
* Experience with ICP-MS analysis.
* Excellent command of Italian; English skills are a plus.
* Good computer skills (G-Suite, SAP, or other ERP preferred).
* Teamwork skills with an analytical mindset.
